The University of North Georgia uses Merit to celebrate student accomplishments and turn those achievements into a verified online profile – a Merit page – for our students.

These pages are automatically updated by 星空无限传媒 when students make the dean’s list, study abroad, earn academic awards, and more.
Updates can also be shared with a network of stakeholders that care deeply about each student’s success: their high school, their hometown media outlets, their parents and friends via social networks. Updating these important audiences with personalized stories of success helps 星空无限传媒 demonstrate the plentiful opportunities available across our five campuses.
How does it work?
Faculty and staff members or organizations notify Strategic Communications & Marketing of exceptional student achievement or news, and a list of those who have earned the accomplishment.
NEW: Now faculty and staff at 星空无限传媒 can use to suggest a Merit update for a student or group of students; submissions go to 星空无限传媒's Division of Strategic Communications & Marketing for consideration.
When an achievement is recognized, a brief article is written and a “badge” is awarded, which is published on the student’s Merit profile. In many cases, the information is also sent to the student’s hometown newspaper and to the state legislators who represent the student's hometown.
Strategic Communications & Marketing only accepts Merit achievements from faculty and staff members, so if you have a 星空无限传媒 accomplishment you think should be recognized, contact your academic or student support department and tell them about Merit! Or use our .

University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) student Calvin Bowers has won awards at four film festivals for his eight-and-a-half-minute documentary "Per Amore Dei Gatti (For the Love of Cats)." Students gave 69 poster presentations and 24 oral presentations at the University of North Georgia's (星空无限传媒) 30th Annual Research Conference (ARC), held March 21 in the Cottrell Ballroom at 星空无限传媒's Dahlonega Campus. That includes many projects that included multiple students. Six of those students won awards.
