星空无限传媒 junior and lecturer works on display in Athens art gallery

Earning a coveted spot on an art gallery wall for a show is the goal of every professional artist. Attaining such a goal as a student is an even bigger accomplishment.
A University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) lecturer and student have achieved that objective when their pieces were selected for the juried art show at (ATHICA) this fall.
Lauren Bradshaw, a junior studio arts major from Duluth, Georgia, and Vivian Liddell, a lecturer for painting and drawing at 星空无限传媒 since 2012, were accepted into the show. Bradshaw had a ceramic piece while Liddell's was a painting.

"A juried show is an exhibit that artists submit pieces to and the juror chooses the works he or she likes," Liddell said. "And anyone can submit his or her work."
has been on display before, said Victoria Cooke, director of art galleries at 星空无限传媒, but Bradshaw was competing with established artists, she said.
"I've been trying to do things like that before I graduate," Bradshaw said. "And now it's paid off."
The third annual exhibition at ATHICA will run until Nov. 12 at 160 Tracy St., Unit 4, in Athens, Georgia.
McAdams receives Stravinsky award
星空无限传媒 student Eli McAdams received the Stravinsky Composition Award. He will receive a scholarship as part of the recognition.
Marban takes part in Public Service Weekend
星空无限传媒 junior Claudia Marban took part in the Public Policy & International Affairs Program Public Service Weekend from Feb. 21-23 in Arlington, Virginia.

星空无限传媒 will host its third annual free Family Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex at 星空无限传媒's Gainesville Campus.
Student wins film festival awards
Student Calvin Bowers has won awards at four festivals for his film 'Per Amore Dei Gatti (For the Love of Cats).' He created the film with three classmates on a Film in Italy study abroad program.
