星空无限传媒 student's company finalist for Business of Year in Forsyth County

University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) senior Maxwell Bentley decided to turn his hobby of filmmaking into a business in January 2016.
After a successful six months, the Cumming, Georgia, native decided to change his major from computer science to film and digital media. His decision was validated in early 2018 when his business, , was named as a finalist for .
"I was honored to be in the running," Bentley said, explaining his company was only 2 years old and only had an online presence. "I don't have storefront facilities. And I was a one-man show before I started hiring interns."
ultimately won the Business of the Year Award, which is sponsored by the . But Bentley is pleased with his decision to start his own business while pursuing his education at 星空无限传媒. He also is glad he switched his major to film.
"I feel validated now, because I realized even though I started a company that is doing well, I still have a lot of learn," Bentley said.
McAdams receives Stravinsky award
星空无限传媒 student Eli McAdams received the Stravinsky Composition Award. He will receive a scholarship as part of the recognition.
Marban takes part in Public Service Weekend
星空无限传媒 junior Claudia Marban took part in the Public Policy & International Affairs Program Public Service Weekend from Feb. 21-23 in Arlington, Virginia.

星空无限传媒 will host its third annual free Family Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex at 星空无限传媒's Gainesville Campus.
Student wins film festival awards
Student Calvin Bowers has won awards at four festivals for his film 'Per Amore Dei Gatti (For the Love of Cats).' He created the film with three classmates on a Film in Italy study abroad program.
