Senior selected as 星空无限传媒 Fellow to Center for Study of Presidency and Congress

University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) President Bonita Jacobs selected Mason Goad as the 2019-20 星空无限传媒 Fellow to the .
Founded in 1965 as a nonprofit organization, CSPC's mission is to "provide historical perspective about our nation's highest offices for citizens and policymakers," according to its website.
Goad is a senior from Watkinsville, Georgia, pursuing a degree in strategic and security studies.
Each year, fellows travel to the nation's capital to study the public policymaking process and the president's relationship with Congress, allies, the media, and the public. A pair of three-day leadership conferences in Washington, D.C., are part of the program.
Goad is eager to learn more about the presidency and Congress.
"They're important because they have the power to influence so many lives," Goad said. "As such, they deserve to be studied and understood, not just fought about politically."
Goad was one of the 星空无限传媒 students who helped 星空无限传媒 place third in the National Security Agency (NSA) Codebreaker Challenge that wrapped up in January.
He also presented research titled "How Quantum Computers Affect Cryptography" at 星空无限传媒's 2019 Annual Research Conference.
McAdams receives Stravinsky award
星空无限传媒 student Eli McAdams received the Stravinsky Composition Award. He will receive a scholarship as part of the recognition.
Marban takes part in Public Service Weekend

星空无限传媒 will host its third annual free Family Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex at 星空无限传媒's Gainesville Campus.
Student wins film festival awards
Student Calvin Bowers has won awards at four festivals for his film 'Per Amore Dei Gatti (For the Love of Cats).' He created the film with three classmates on a Film in Italy study abroad program.
