Storyline:In a Parisian suburb riot prevails. On the following day, the three youngsters Vinz (Vincent Cassel), Saïd (Saïd Taghmaoui) and Hubert (Hubert Koundé) wander through the streets disoriented. After her friend Abdel was life-threateningly injured by the police in the nocturnal fighting between rioting youths, the hate in them seethes. In the process, the boys meet friends, repeatedly come into conflict with good and bad policemen, but most of the time, they proverbially wait for Godot. Each of the three main protagonists comes from one of the three formative fringe groups in today's France. Vinz is of Jewish descent and the powder keg of the group. Hubert appears as the most sensible and mature of the trio. As his state-subsidized boxing hall burns down, he realizes that there is only one way out for him.
