Storyline:Ira Levinson (Alan Alda) is 91 years old, sick and lonely. One day he has a traffic accident in which he suffers severe injuries. Storyline:The young, clever Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) is very interested in science. One day she finds a mysterious pin that makes her see visions of another world and finally brings together once-brilliant inventor Frank Walker (George Clooney). Walker, however, has lost his former class and is greatly disillusioned. The main reason is that he had to leave a kind of parallel universe called Tomorrowland. This hit him particularly hard because there was no worry there, but peace and bliss prevailed. Since his forced departure from the parallel world, David Nix (Hugh Laurie) is in charge there, pursuing his own sinister plans. Together, the girl and the inventor want to return to Tomorrowland in order to bend everything back there and also to prevent the approaching end of the world.
