Storyline:Maud Watts (Carey Mulligan) has been working in a laundry in London's East End since the age of seven. She is now married to her colleague Sonny (Ben Whishaw) and has a young son. About the quality of her life, Maud asks only a few questions, until one day she gets into an uprising of the suffragettes on an errand for her boss Taylor (Geoff Bell). Infatuated with the fighting spirit of her fellow campaigners and spurred on by a speech by suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst (Meryl Streep), Maud is soon ready to fight for women's rights more and more militantly. In doing so, she puts not only job and family, but also her life on the play ...

Storyline:In the south of England around 1870 Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan) lives, an idiosyncratic and beautiful young woman who values her independence. Yet, or maybe because of that, she has three worshipers at once, all very different types: there's the truehearted, modest shepherd Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), the elderly, wealthy landowner William Boldwood (Michael Sheen) and the pretty, confident, but Reckless Officer Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge). While the almost destitute Gabriel is out of the question for a respectable marriage, Boldwood would be a socially acceptable choice, but Bathsheba does not want to commit himself and is most likely to be interested in the unpredictable Frank ... Remake of the eponymous novel by Thomas Hardy from 1874.

Storyline:Two families meet shortly after the end of World War II in the Mississippi Delta: The family of Hap (Rob Morgan) and Florence Jackson (Mary J. Blige) has been cultivating a piece of land for generations and trying to build a free, self-determined life. As African Americans, however, they have it hard in the racist south of the United States. The McAllans, on the other hand, are white and have just moved from Memphis to the Mississippi Delta and have yet to come to terms with the more uncivilized customs, the monotonous life and hard work on a farm. However, Henry (Jason Clarke) still has big dreams for his family, but his wife Laura (Carey Mulligan) is far less happy. When two family-born sons, Jamie McAllan (Garrett Hedlund) and Ronsel Jackson (Jason Mitchell), cautiously make friends, an escalation of the smoldering conflict seems inevitable ...
