Storyline:Vietnam, 1967. Student Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen) is full of idealism as a volunteer in the jungle war. He meets there u.a. Sergeant O'Neill (John McGinley), a disgusting asshole, Lieutenant Wolfe (Mark Moses) and King (Keith David), who keeps counting the days until he gets home. In the green hell, Chris quickly comes to a bitter realization: The war does not create heroes, but makes humans raw beasts. Chris' dreams finally burst when he realizes that the fight is also raging in his own ranks - between the brutal sergeant Barnes (Tom Berenger) and Sergeant Elias (Willem Dafoe), who despite the nerve-wracking fights has preserved his humanity, reigns brighter Hate. This eventually leads to Barnes killing Elias. Chris thinks about revenge ...


Storyline:It's the early morning of September 11, 2001. In the north tower of the New York World Trade Center, five people meet in one of the elevators: Jeffrey (Charlie Sheen) is Wall Street billionaire and Eve (Gina Gershon) his wife - after 17 Years of marriage, however, she wants to divorce her selfish husband, while trying to convince them of the opposite. In addition, bicycle messenger Michael (Wood Harris), pretty Tina (Olga Fonda) and engineer Eddie (Luis Guzmán) get stuck in the elevator when suddenly a plane crashes into the building. The five random fellow sufferers are on the 38th floor and the only way to communicate with the outside world is via the intercom, at the other end of which sits Metzie (Whoopie Goldberg). As the prisoners learn about what's going on and try to escape their desperate situation, they look back on their lives, on good and bad decisions ...
