Storyline:In 1820, a whaler, the Essex, was attacked by a giant whale. The unusual thing about it is that the animal seems to be driven by a retaliatory impulse ascribed only to humans. The Essex escapes scarcely doom and a large part of the crew is killed. But the nightmare is not over yet, because now the ship has to make it to the safe shore again. Storyline:The two Czech ex-soldiers Josef Gabčík (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubiš (Jamie Dornan) return from exile in cold December 1941 and can be dropped off by parachute in their occupied by the Nazis home country. They want to murder SS leader Reinhard Heydrich, head of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt, loyal supporter of Hitler and organizer of the Holocaust, despite the most adverse circumstances and with minimal equipment. In fact, they want to make a decisive turn during the course of the war, but they depend on the help of local underground fighters in Prague. Soon they come up with their sophisticated plan on the first unexpected obstacle. Whether they will manage in the end?
