Storyline:Nine years have passed since the American Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and the Frenchwoman Celine (Julie Delply) met by chance in Vienna and spent a night together in the Austrian city. At that time, they vowed to meet again half a year later, but nothing came of it. When Jesse, now a successful author of a book based on the events of that night, holds a reading in Paris, Celine suddenly stands before him. They have an hour before Jesse has to leave to once again remember that carefree evening and talk once more about her feelings. Of course the lesson is a longer time they spend together, because the two can not tear themselves away from each other so quickly. Her rediscovered intuition puts her current life to the test.
