Storyline:The awakened little Jack (Jacob Tremblay) is loved and cared for like his other boys of his age by his caring mother (Brie Larson). Ma spends a lot of time with the five-year-old, reading to him, playing with him and spending almost every moment of her life with her son. But there is hardly anything left for her, since the life of the family is anything but normal: the two are locked up in a tiny, windowless hut. Ma has let her imagination run wild to keep Jack from telling the truth that they are cut off from the outside world and wants to give her child a fulfilling life at any cost. But at some point Jack becomes curious and the explanations become fragile. Together, mother and son decide to flee. But outside there is something as unknown as it is awesome: the real world.
