Storyline:NASA is driving the exploration of Mars with the "Ares 3" mission. Astronauts Mark Watney (Matt Damon), Commander Lewis (Jessica Chastain), Rick Martinez (Michael Pena), Chris Beck (Sebastian Stan), Alex Vogel (Aksel Hennie) and Beth Johanssen (Katie Mara) have landed on the red planet, including a vehicle and a habitat where researchers can live and produce food. But a sandstorm threatens to sweep away the technology brought along with their inhabitants, so that Commander Lewis gives the order for an immediate departure. Because his crew considers him dead, botanist Mark Watney remains on the inhospitable alien planet. For the time being, without the possibility of communication and with damaged equipment, he tries to use the few means at his disposal as resourcefully as possible. And indeed, Watney manages to signal to Earth that he is still alive. NASA under director Sanders (Jeff Daniels) is beginning to plan the rescue of the "Martian". While Gru is busy hunting Bratt, he gets a visit from his twin brother Dru (also Steve Carell / Oliver Rohrbeck). Not only does he have full hair, he is also more successful and self-confident than Gru, who does not even have his minions under his control - and that annoys him enormously! But then Balthazar Bratt brings to a devilish blow and the unequal brothers have to gather together to save the world.
