Storyline:For Japan there are only a few weeks left until World War II comes to an end with the unconditional surrender. The city of Kobe, built mainly of wooden houses, is mostly in flames after a fire bombardment. The 14-year-old Seita has managed to get away with his about 4-year-old sister Setsuko. Both children hope that their mother, who had to visit another air raid bunker, has also survived. In a primary school designated as the first port of call for bombed-out residents, the boy then learns that his mother has suffered severe burns and most likely will die soon. He decides to spare the little Setsuko the truth and just tells her that they can not visit her mom first. Storyline:After a nuclear catastrophe Tokyo was rebuilt under the name Neo-Tokyo. But the social reality has changed. The new metropolis is shaken by violence and chaos. Various gangs are always coming up with arguments to the death. The two teenagers Kaneda (Mitsuo Iwata) and Tetsuo (Nozomu Sasaki) are one of the gang fighting for their respective spheres of influence. When Tetsuo is abducted by the Japanese military, Kaneda investigates. In doing so, he uncovers a secret project involving the use of telepathic powers. Since it turns out that Tetsuo has the necessary resources, the project managers keep him in charge. Soon, the adolescent discovers the power he has and becomes a serious threat to Neo-Tokyo.
Storyline:Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle) manages an expensive hotel in Kigali and experiences the race riots of Rwanda as part of everyday life.
