Storyline:We write the 19th century, the scene is Austria. Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham), former court composer, mutilates himself and ends up in a mental hospital. He tells his story, which is closely linked to one of the greatest artistic personalities of all times: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce). It quickly brings considerable fame, but also envy. In any case, the aging court composer Antonio Salieri is appalled by Mozart's vulgar style - in Salieri's eyes, he simply does not deserve his superhuman talent. From then on he will do his utmost to destroy Mozart's career, albeit always in admiration for their magnificent musical creations.
