Storyline:1243: The Mongols move from east to west on their campaign of conquest. Before Anatolia, the last Sultan of the Seljuk Turks stand in their way. In Sivas, the two armies meet. In the capital Konya, however, the rulers are already thinking of submitting to the Great Khan and giving up Turkish independence. However, one refuses to bend his knee: Celalettin Karatay (Mehmet Aslantug), with the support of the Achiyya religious community, mobilizes resistance to the Mongol invaders.
