Storyline:As a journalist from the Boston Globe, in an article prepared a case of abuse in the ranks of the Catholic Church, which happened directly in Boston, she arouses the interest of the new editor-in-chief Marty Baron (Liev Schreiber). He suspects that there is more to the story and puts the Spotlight team on the matter, whose research brings horrible results. Spotlight boss Walter "Robby" Robinson (Michael Keaton) and his associates Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo), Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams) and Matt Carroll (Brian D'Arcy James) note that far more priests in the abuse of Children are involved as previously thought. But journalists' meticulous investigations are increasingly hampered by the silence of frightened victims and well-paid lawyers. The film is based on true events.
