Storyline:The "Rolling Stone" journalist David Lipsky (Jesse Eisenberg) gets the opportunity in 1996 to accompany David Foster Wallace (Jason Segel) for five days for an interview. He is one of the most important authors of the present and just in the last moves of the promo tour to his work "Infinite fun". During the several-day road trip, the two are snowed at an airport, meet annoying readers and take part in a dance in a Baptist church. Lipsky begins more and more to fathom the contradictory personality of literary genius. Wallace eats at McDonalds, teaches at the university and fights fears, isolation and depression despite his great accomplishments. Their time together should result in much more than just an interview. "The End of the Tour" is the film adaptation of the memoirs "Although You Will Become Yourself: A Road Trip with David Foster Wallace," which Lipsky published after the author's suicide.
