Storyline:Malcolm Crow (Bruce Willis) is a child psychologist and receives a significant award for him, which he celebrates with his wife Anna (Olivia Williams) in the evening. When Vincent Gray (Donnie Wahlberg), a former but not cured patient, suddenly enters the house, a catastrophe ensues. Crow is shot and the perpetrator commits suicide. A year later, the psychologist takes care of the behaviorally disturbed boy Cole (Haley Joel Osment). Malcolm deals so intensely with the case that his wife feels neglected. Despite everything, the ambitious plumber does not want to give up, and eventually Malcolm's affection for the boy is rewarded. He learns what Cole torments: The boy sees dead people. He realizes that Vincent also has this "gift" and advises the boy not to be afraid of the deceased, but to listen to them.
