Storyline:The year is 48 BC during the Han Dynasty: A Roman general named Lucius (John Cusack) flees with his legion to the east. Also present is Publius (Jozef Waite), heir to the ruling Roman consul Crassus. They have no other choice, because they want to escape Lucius' ruthless brother Tiberius (Adrien Brody), who wants to eliminate the son of the consul and thus claim the throne for himself. At the Silk Road Fortress, the fugitives meet Huo An (Jackie Chan), who gives them protection in his capacity as commander. But first Lucius has to earn his respect through a fight. Tiberius and his army are hot on their heels, demanding the publication of Publius. To lend weight to their plan, they also threaten China's extinction. Lucius, Hua An and 36 warriors of ethnic nations gathered by him face the common enemy.
