Storyline:In 1945, Captain Charles Butler McVay (Nicolas Cage), commander of the USS Indianapolis, is entrusted with a delicate mission. His ship is to transport components of an atomic bomb. In order to prevent the USS Indiapanolis from targeting Japanese attacks, both the ship's route and cargo are kept under wraps so that no information can leak to the enemy. Nevertheless, sunk on July 30, 1945, a Japanese torpedo, the ship that has now delivered its cargo.
